Dimakatso Boshomane from Seshego Zone 3 is appealing to the Seshego community to help him to publish his motivational book
POLOKWANE – Dimakatso Boshomane (28) from Seshego Zone 3 is appealing to the Seshego community to help him to publish his motivational book, Always Dark Before Dawn (There is hope, even in the worst of circumstances).
According to Boshomane, the book is all about motivating people in the simple African way that has always been used by our forefathers.
He says the reason for writing this book is to teach people of South Africa about what is happening in our government.
“In this book I examine what makes a true leader. It is given that leadership is the heart of any organisation. It is important to ensure leadership structures are in place before dawn,” Boshomane says.
His dream is not a new one as he has been writing since his school days.
Boshomane believes writing is a good form of expression.
He says he started by drawing instead of writing. “I used to have nothing to do, but then I decided to play with pen and paper until I discovered I have talent for writing.
“I have been inspired by people’s poet, Mzakhe Mbuli’s, poems such as Change Is Pain, Afrika, The Voice Of Reason, and Patriotic Love.
“I like his poems and I told myself I can also do what he does by writing a book. This is my first attempt and I hope to get published. I want to spread the message to South Africans,” says Boshomane.
He is a part-time painter as he looks for a publisher.
“I started writing at the early age, but I was just writing for fun and to keep myself out of the street,” says Boshomane.
He says people are suffering greatly in South Africa mainly due to a leadership crisis.
“It is our responsibility and ability to make the right decisions. To choose the best leaders, those who inspire others to come together and works toward achieving South Africa’s goals,” he adds.
He further says the book also focuses on not giving up on life. “By simply following the rules of life you can achieve anything you want,” he concludes.
Boshomane also holds a certificate of painting from Shades of Colour.
