Do you have what it takes to become a model? Then the Mr and Miss Valley of Lebcow 2016 pageant is for you
POLOKWANE – The pageant will be held on 13 to 14 February at the Lebowakgomo Civic Centre.
Contestants must be between the ages of 16 and 25 and registration costs R120 to enter.
According to event organiser, Tshepo Mathole, the aim of the pageant is to help aspiring models in Limpopo to boost their self-esteem and give them the opportunity to showcase their talent.
“The pageant will be a fun and educational experience, showing the youth that anything can be achieved with hard work,” he says.
Mathole says he always strives to achieve the right balance in providing quality entertainment on time.
He adds that the target market is young aspiring models from Lebowakgomo.
“My peers want to do something to impress other people whereas impressing someone starts with you. People are reluctant to take the road less travelled, but I embrace it. I want to show them it is better to be different because then you won’t get lost in the crowd and you also get the chance to grow mentally and spiritually.”
