Actor gives local students exam inspiration

Thato was at UL as part of Sprite's nationwide campaign: 15 Seconds of Truth

LIMPOPO – Right in the middle of mid-year exams at the University of Limpopo (UL), Sprite and seasoned actor and media personality, Thato Molamu, stopped by to offer students a refreshing new initiative to give them something to get excited about.

Thato was at UL as part of Sprite’s nationwide campaign: 15 Seconds of Truth.

Throughout the campaign, Sprite gives young people an opportunity to explore self-expression with a nationwide roadshow that will serve as a platform for young people to engage and be part of this initiative as Sprite starts a trend that refreshes, inspires and promotes free thinking.

“Giving hope to the youth who have dreams like I did before I got my big break a few years ago, is what I enjoy most,” said Molamu.

He also conducts workshops called Theatre V/S Life and is the executor and founder of the Thato Molamu Foundation, which focuses mainly in eradicating hopelessness among children who live in poverty-stricken areas and to promote the arts as a whole to keep kids away from nefarious activities, including crime, unprotected sex and drugs.

He says he is passionate about youth development and has always voiced his disapproval of abuse against women and children.
