This ride makes Sarel’s heart race
Motorcycle riding is a passion that took hold of Sapa Yopa Motorcycle Club president, Sarel Nong, many years ago
POLOKWANE – He has owned many bikes over the years, but none of them had his heart racing like the one he rides today, the awe inspiring and breathtaking 2006 Suzuki Boulevard M109R 1900cc.
Sarel says riding his bike is the one thing he can always count on to relax him.
“Riding is like therapy, and it helps clear my mind of all worries. It brings things into perspective and, for me it is not just a way to relax but a way of life,” Nong explains.
To him there is no better feeling than riding alone or with some disciplined riders as he says it is one of the best feelings if the riders move like one. Sarel says without question, the M109R delivers unparalleled performance and gorgeous styling on it’s own. The bike features an advanced chassis built for effortless cruising, whether it be across town or long distances.
Its unrivaled capabilities are born from Suzuki’s championship-winning race heritage. He says the big V-twin produces a serious, aggressive exhaust that identifies the M109R as a power cruiser beyond compare.
“It’s tuned to produce massive torque all the way from idle to red line, which translates into acceleration that you just have to feel to believe. It’s the most powerful cruiser Suzuki has ever produced.”
He says one thing many people do not understand is that riding a motorcycle is actually a way of life. In his circle of friends and riding buddies, he has met people from all walks of life who have one thing in common – riding a bike is their break away from stress.
Sarel says with his years of biking experience, the one thing he will never compromise on is safety. “Riding is fun and having a big bike is the best feeling ever, but being safe no matter what you ride is the one thing I can never emphasize enough.”
His advice to bikers of all ages is to be safe and enjoy the road with other road users to make the best of their riding experience.
