Calling all aspiring models
These pageants, which are presented by the Face of Limpopo 2015 runner-up, Maite Makgato, aim to groom young people in the province and introduce them to the modelling industry.
POLOKWANE – Aspiring beauty queens and kings in the province can still enter the Mr and Miss Cultural Heritage Limpopo beauty pageants which will be held on 24 September at the Polokwane City Library Auditorium.
These pageants, which are presented by the Face of Limpopo 2015 runner-up, Maite Makgato, aim to groom young people in the province and introduce them to the modelling industry.
Both pageants will cater for models from the age of three to 25 years. The Mr and Miss Spring Polokwane pageant will start at 11:00 until 16:00, entry is free.
The Cultural Heritage pageant will start at 18:00, entry fee is R200. Tickets for the Mr and Miss Spring Polokwane pageant are available at R30 each while tickets for the Cultural Heritage pageant are available at R50 each.
According to Makgato, the two pageants will cater for plus-size models. She said she cannot reveal the prizes for the winners at the moment because this usually serves as the biggest motivation to enter pageants and that is not the aim with these pageants.
“My aim is to groom models in the province and I believe models should be driven by a passion for the industry rather than prizes,” explained Makgato.
Those who wish to participate in these two pageants can contact Makgato at 072 847 5609.
