Gospel fest to unearth young talent
Gospel music lovers can look forward to the annual Spring Gospel Music Festival this Saturday at the Lighthouse Covenant Church Genis Centre in Seshego Zone 6.
POLOKWANE – Organised by Katlego Modiba Gospel Music (KMGM), the festival aims to raise the standard of Limpopo gospel music and inspire the youth who are in the music industry. Katlego Modiba, Director of KMGM, says the festival will create unity among artists. “This festival will serve as a platform for young artists to showcase their talent and get exposure in the music industry throughout the country,” says Modiba.
“Through this initiative, I want to help young talented artists kepp away from criminal activities and substance abuse and bring them into the music industry. Limpopo has talent, all we need to do is assist and lead them in the right direction,” he explains. “The festival will encourage young people to come and enjoy the music instead of going to taverns or engaging in criminal activities,” he continues.
Artists such as Mary M, Urban Matjila, Joyce BK, Muziri gospel group, Extreme worshi, Rurzani Tshukovha and Katlego Modiba are expected to thrill the fans.
Tickets will be available at the gate on the festival day, R50 general and R120 for VIP. Businesses are welcome to exhibit their products and services at the event. For more information, call 072 156 3627.
