Cheerio Gardens restaurant opens its doors
The restaurant is open from 09:00 to 17:00 daily
HAENERTBURG – Head down the very dusty Cheerio Road that’s just been graded, to the little restaurant at Cheerio Gardens for an exceptional dining experience. Entrance fee is minimal with children and pensioners eligible for a reduced rate.
The restaurant is open from 09:00 to 17:00 daily from now until the end of the Spring Fair on 4 October. Ninia Knott (33) from Gourmet Girl Catering is in attendance over weekends with Cheerio Gardens owner, Sarah Hillary, running the restaurant during the week.
Knott, who studied at The International Hotel School in Johannesburg, is a qualified chef. She started Gourmet Girl, ostensibly a pop-up restaurant, in 2012. She lives in Polokwane and caters for functions throughout Limpopo.
Get all the treats you need for a picnic basket from the deli. They have decadent carrot cake, pesto and dips, pastries, gourmet salads, tapas platters, boutique wines and coffees to choose from.
A colourful platter, specially prepared by Gourmet Girl, consisting of fine cheeses, figs, grilled eggplant, tangy pickles, red and green tomatoes and decorated with lavender and thyme is available on order. The delicious treats and stunning scenery is worth the drive out to Cheerio Gardens.
