Sapa Yopa take on the open road
Bikers to embark on a mass-ride to Mpumalanga
POLOKWANE – Dozens of members of the Sapa Yopa Motorcycle Club are set to embark on a mass-ride on Saturday.
Club members from across the country are expected to attend a team-building weekend in White River, Mpumalanga this weekend. Sapa Yopa President, Sarel Nong, told BONUS the occasion is strictly for club members.
“Team building activities will help our bikers get to know each other and teach them to work together. We often travel long distances together and it is important for us to work well as a unit,” Nong said.
He added the gathering is also aimed at reminding the members of the club’s purpose and its targets as well as to establish a positive team attitude, and to reaffirm their beliefs and values. Nong said they will get to experience biking with different team members, discuss different problem solving techniques and generate new ideas for rallies in the coming months. According to Nong, the main aim is to establish clear short-term goals and methods for celebrating achievements and milestones of the club and individual members.
“We plan on visiting an orphanage in the White River area to make a donation. There will be an after-party on Saturday evening to close the proceedings and for members to connect with each other,” Nong said.
