Live DVD recording for Welcome

To raise funds for the needy, gospel musician Welcome Phala plans to host a live DVD recording on 1 December at the Holiness Revival centre in Mokopane.

MOKOPANE – The already self acclaimed musician has released a 10-track CD entitled My Life, My Journey, in which he relates his journey as an artist who is hungry for success.

“I grew up in a family that was church orientated so much that I was involved in all the church activities that were on offer. I was part of the youth and the praise and worship at church.

“Getting compliments on how powerful my voice is and how it is healing, opened my eyes to see that I can help heal people or get through their tough times. Being involved in activities facilitated by the church allowed me to learn about the importance of giving back and how to actually go about doing that,” he explained.

Welcome says that with this project, he not only looks to boost his career and profession as a musician but also to help those in need.

He says the proceeds will be used to buy basic essentials to be donated to the needy.

“Christmas is supposed to be a time of happiness and not worrying about food and other basic essentials, which is why me and my friends in the music industry will be hosting this gig for the needy event to help raise funds so that we can help close that gap,” he added.

He also facilitates singing classes to aspiring young musicians in his community where he teaches them how to sing and market themselves.
