With the public demand growing by the day, Lufuno Phalandwa finally released the much-anticipated Midnight Hour Worship album in December.

With 20 tracks packed in a double-disc album, gospel lovers are spoilt for choice.

Talking about the release of his debut album, the 25-year-old Phalandwa revealed that the initial plan was to release a CD and DVD combo in January but the demand from the public forced his music stable, Mukurob Music to change the plan.

“We thought releasing a single would get the people settled, knowing that the album was almost finished but our calculations were not spot on. Shela Muya created so much demand and the fans became restless, we had no choice but to release the album in December and the response has been terrific,” said Phalandwa.

On social media, fans are already labelling the album as ‘award-winning’, saying the music is worthy of many accolades.

Two of Phalandwa’s die hard supporters, Cei Bologo and Fani Netshivhumbe, wrote on their Facebook pages that Midnight Hour Worship should win him the title of the 2019 gospel newcomer of the year. The album features upcoming artists Grace Mulaudzi, formerly Nakana and Ngudo Praise, as well as seasoned worshipper Kgaogelo Kekana.
