Look, learn and paint for charity at Paint it @ Nite on 22 Feb

If you can hold a colouring pencil, a pen, a piece of chalk, crayons or a paintbrush you can be part of the Paint It @ Nite experience.

POLOKWANE – An opportunity to make a difference has never been easier, or more creative. On Friday, 22 February, from 18:00 to 24:00 you can have your go at a doodle of art.

Any person from the ages of five upwards can join in the fun while creatively adding value to the lives of others. If you can hold a colouring pencil, a pen, a piece of chalk, crayons or a paintbrush you can be part of the Paint It @ Nite experience.

Roll up your sleeves and be part of the biggest annual paint party in Polokwane. Mike’s Kitchen will be turned into an art-friendly venue where the biggest exhibition of art will be presented.

Several local artists will be present to show off their own work, but also to assist potential artists to create their pieces of art. Look, learn and paint for charity.

At only R100 per A5 artwork, you stand a chance to buy the bargain of a lifetime. Original creations by current top-notch artists or up-and-coming artists will be for sale. The only guarantee is a beautiful piece of art which will add colour to a spot in your home or office. These pieces of art can serve as wonderful gifts to those you love.

The process is as follows:

• Paint a picture on the theme: The power of love on an A5 paper.

• Pop it into the specially branded bins at Paint It Specialists, Mike’s Kitchen, Polokwane Review and Data Inn Office National offices from Friday, 8 February to Wednesday 20 February.

• Important: Take a selfie with your piece of art and forward it to 083 726 1180. We want to share it on social media.

• Come to Mike’s Kitchen on 22 February from 18:00 to 24:00 to buy your choice of painting, drawing or sketch @ R100 each.

• Martin-Shawn van Huyssteen will present two paint demonstrations at Mike’s Kitchen.

• Your R100 will benefit the aged in our city.

Come and enjoy the entertainment on offer at Mike’s Kitchen, with a menu which will make your mouth water, a play park for the little ones, a DJ to provide music to dance to and loads of space to get creative in.

Principals of schools and their leaders are invited to challenge each other for the Paint it Schools challenge. Watch out for details on the Facebook page: Paint It @ Nite. Send a message via messenger if you need more information. Please add your e-mail address for details.
