Readers treated to a celebration of the Royal Mistress Series
Readers in Polokwane were treated to a special book signing and meet-and- greet event, with author of the Royal Mistress Series, Takalani Mutshinyan at Bargain Books, Mall of the North on Saturday, 20 April.

POLOKWANE – The author says she started writing from an early age, as far back as primary school. “The first time I shared my written work was when I was 17 years old. This was through a book club that published our short stories and poems.

In December 2017, I opened a Facebook page called Stories by Takalani M and it was there where I started writing and sharing The Royal Mistress inserts.

“When readers continued asking where they could buy the book, I started the self-publishing processes to release the book. I still write unpublished stories on my Stories by Takalani M Facebook page and my stories are read by 20 000 followers,” she explained.

She has thus far written and published two books; Adelaide: The Royal Mistress and The Royal Mistress and more is yet to come, she says.
One fan, Nakedi Tears Sebaka was excited to meet the author in person. She bought both books as well as a book for a friend, which were all signed and sealed with a message of gratitude from the author.
