POLOKWANE – Streaming services such as Showmax and Netflix have made it possible to watch your favourite series or movies on demand, whenever you want to.

This however makes it even more difficult to decide between the magnitude of options available – that’s where we come in.

Review has put together a list of shows you should stream on your favourite platform.

Showmax:

Series: B Postitive

B Positive revolves around Drew (Emmy nominee Thomas Middleditch from Silicon Valley), a therapist and newly divorced dad. He needs a kidney donor when he runs into Gina (Annaleigh Ashford), a rough-around-the-edges woman from his past who volunteers her own. Together, they form an unlikely and life-affirming friendship as they begin a journey that will forever impact both of their lives.

 

Movie: The Lost City

Brilliant but reclusive author Loretta Sage (Oscar winner Sandra Bullock) has spent her career writing popular romance-adventure novels about exotic places. Her books’ handsome cover model Alan (People’s Choice winner Channing Tatum) has dedicated his life to embodying the hero character, Dash.

While on tour promoting her new book, Loretta is kidnapped by an eccentric billionaire (People’s Choice winner Daniel Radcliffe), who hopes that she can lead him to the treasure of an ancient lost city from her latest story.

 

For the kids: Sonic The Hedgehog 2

The world’s favorite blue hedgehog is back for a next-level adventure in the #9 biggest box office hit of 2022, which sees Sonic and his new sidekick, Knuckles (voiced by Idris Elba) on a quest to find a powerful emerald before it falls into the wrong hands. Emmy winner Ben Schwartz (from Parks and Recreation) voices Sonic, while the live-action cast includes Jim Carrey, James Marsden, Tika Sumpter, and Natasha Rothwell.

 

Netflix:

Series: From Scratch

An artist finds romance with a chef in Italy and embarks on a life-changing journey of love, loss, resilience and hope across cultures and continents.

 

Movie: The School for Good and Evil

Best friends Sophie and Agatha find their bond put to the test when they’re whisked away to a magical school for future fairy-tale heroes and villains.

 

For the kids: Blippi’s Spooky Spell Halloween

Ready to have the spookiest Halloween ever, Blippi sets out with his book of spells to search for treats, pumpkins and all kinds of eerie decorations.
