BREAKING NEWS – Roads closed by protestors in Mogwadi area

Members of the Public Order Policing Unit (Pops) were deployed to Mogwadi and surrounds where protesters who are allegedly upset about road issues barricaded the R521 with burning tyres and rubble since early this morning (Monday).
Just after midday Provincial Police Spokesperson Moatshe Ngoepe indicated that the situation was still the same but confirmed that Pops were on the scene to monitor the situation.
It was learnt that protesters also closed the Bylsteel road as well as a road leading to Loskop (Marowe) and that passing vehicles were allegedly being pelted with stones.
Ngoepe warned motorists to avoid the area at this stage.
