Water supply from Olifantspoort plant was interrupted earlier this morning to allow for repairs to the Specon line that was allegedly damaged by a contractor.
Stakeholder Relations Officer of Polokwane Municipality, Disree Manyane said in a media release that a notification to that effect has been received from Lepelle Northern Water, confirming that repairs may take up to 12 hours.
“All areas of supply in the city will be affected including Zebediela, Lebowakgomo, Westenburg, Nirvana, Ivy Park and Seshego,” Manyane said and urged residents to use water sparingly to avoid shortages.
