At an event that was well-attended by parents, Grade 0 to 000 learners of Mitchell House’s Squirrels’ Nest Pre-school demonstrated support for their favourite World Cup soccer teams last Thursday.
Learners made flags of Egypt, Portugal, Nigeria, Spain, Germany and Brazil and took part in a march around the school’s soccer field before engaging in activities such as aerobics, crab soccer, dribbling, hoop goals and beat the goalie.
Head of Department, Leeanne Petzer, said that the activity is in line with one of the themes for this year’s programme focusing on countries of the world and that the learners had great fun when they painted the flags in preparation of the event.
