Share Joy Pre-School Grade R learners surprised their parents with an amazing programme of dance and reciting of educational and bible verses during the school’s annual concert and candlelight farewell at a venue in the city last Thursday.
The gathering was to bid farewell to 18 Grade R learners who will be joining new schools in the next academic year. It also provided an opportunity to showcase their mastery of the skills and knowledge required to advance to Grade 1.
The Grade Rs received certificates and had to light candles which, according to the school principal Josephine Kagori served to encourage learners to continue shining at their respective schools. She clarified that the certificates were not a sign of graduation and that the formal graduation ceremony was still to follow. Kagori further said she was confident that they will do well because educators at Share Joy and parents have done a great job.
“My children are marvellous and I have no doubt that they will continue to work hard. We had a fun and educational year and I am going to miss each and every one of them. I would like to thank educators and parents for their hard work and always ensuring that children are at their best,” she said.
She applauded all the children for being great entertainers of the evening and wished the Grade Rs best of luck with their future endeavours.
