Adam says demons made him murder
He used medication before when he also became very aggressive.
SECUNDA – Mr Adam Muller (23) who appeared in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court on Wednesday, 29 April on two counts of murder and three of attempted murder after he hit five people with a hammer in the CBD, considers himself special.
The hammer incident happened on Friday, 17 April when Mr Muller’s head ‘tripped out’, as his mother, Ms Jenet Muller, said in court on 28 April when she testified.
She also said he was very aggressive the evening before he attacked the people.
“He used medication before when he also became very aggressive.
“We were not able to control him,” said Ms Muller.
Mr Muller said witchcraft made him special and he also said demons told him he would get a girlfriend if he hit people with a hammer.
He said in court the demons spoke to him the whole time and did not want to go away.
When asked in court where the demons were, he said in his face and that they were insulting everybody.
The judge had to ask Mr Muller a few times to watch his language when he cursed in court when he spoke about the demons.
“I tell them to stop all the time and told them I will kill them,” said Mr Muller.
The judge eventually allowed him a five minute smoke break after he cursed again.
He was later asked whether he knew it was wrong to kill people and Mr Muller responded with: “It is apparently wrong, but if God says it is fine, why is it wrong? This is just my opinion.”
He was then asked whether it was right to commit murder and he said: “To me it is right.”
However when he was asked whether he felt fine with committing the crime, he said he wished he did not do it.
He said the annoying voices told him to do it.
“I worship a god higher than God who wants to kill God,” he said.
Ms Muller and his grandmother testified in court and confirmed that he often acted strange and aggressive.
His grandmother said he would walk in circles at home and fall on the ground, cursing God.
Ms Muller said he wrote letters and drew pentagrams on pieces of paper and put them in a suitcase which he called his mailbox.
He was asked in court why he drew pentagrams and he said to show his love to Satan.
He drew a pentagram without hesitation in court when asked to do so.
Mr Muller was on psychiatric medication before he was arrested.
He said the voices spoke to him the whole time while he was at work and did the opposite of what he was doing at work.
He worked for Lynco before he was arrested.
He said he has been worshipping Satan since he was a child and that God instructed people to hurt him and that is why he does not like God or going to church.
Mr Muller said his god’s name is Vengeance.
The judge postponed his case to 28 May and Mr Muller will be admitted to the Weskoppies psychiatric facility for evaluation as soon as there is an opening.
