Police recover stolen vehicles

The eMzinoni Police recovered some of the vehicles after they had received tip offs from the community and others during daily patrols.

eMZINONI – Several stolen vehicles were recovered by the eMzinoni Police Station in the past three weeks.

Some of the vehicles included a BMW, a Toyota Run X, a double cab bakkie and a Mazda Sting.

The eMzinoni Police recovered some of the vehicles after they had received tip offs from the community and others during daily patrols.

Capt Abel Mahlangu, station commander, said: “Congratulations to the officers for recovering these vehicles. “We also extend our thanks to the community for helping the police in the fight against crime.

“We urge the community to further assist us by reporting any suspicious people or activities throughout eMzinoni.” Capt Mahlangu said the community must act on their instinct, because one of the vehicles recovered was driven by a minor without a licence and with his parents’ knowledge.

Another vehicle was recovered near Ext 4 where it was abandoned next to the road for two days before the police discovered it. People can contact Const Cynthia Mtsweni, communications officer of eMzinoni Police Station, at 079 891 5008.
