Sipho (18) stabbed to death

A resident found his body and informed the police.

eMZINONI – The body of Sipho Mofokeng (18), a pupil from eMzinoni High School, was found at 8th and 9th Street on Sunday, 3 November.

According to the police, he was returning home from a tavern at about 4.30pm when he was stabbed in the neck by an unknown suspect.

“The motive for the murder is unknown and no suspects have been arrested yet,” Const Cynthia Mtsweni, communications officer for the eMzinoni Police, said.

“We urge parents of young children not to allow them to go out to taverns.

“If however they do go, parents should at all times know about there whereabouts and who they are accompanied by.

“When returning home, do not wander in the streets alone.”
