Police arrest 5 in connection with drugs
Man arrested and soon thereafter informed the police where he had bought the drugs.
KRIEL – The police arrested five men who were in possession of drugs on Saturday, 16 November.
They were conducting festive operations for crime prevention when they stopped and searched Mr Ndibulele Mhlakaza (34) and found him to be in possession of drugs.
He was arrested and soon thereafter informed the police where he had bought the drugs.
The police investigated and arrested four men in connection with dealing in drugs.
Messrs Godwin Chika (28), Boniface Ewulum (41), Obunike Ugwunwa (25) and Christian Nnoli (43) made their first appearance in the Bethal Magistrate’s Court on 18 November.
The case was postponed to 25 November pending formal bail application.
The police are still investigating.
