Recovered stolen property

The Police are working hard to keep the streets safe and are arresting known criminals on a daily basis with the help of the community.
In an article published in the Standerton Ibis on 15 November, we reported a crime where criminals broke into Madi Combined School and stole computers.
According to the police, the same criminals also broke into Khula-Sakhile Secondary School the same night and stole computers.
The police have managed to recover the stolen computers after they received a tip-off from a community member.
The crime was committed on 5 November and the police urged the community to come forward with information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects and three days later a concerned community member contacted the police with information.
According to Const Dan Nomfenge of the Sakhile Detective Branch, he received a call that computers are sold from a house in Shivovo.
He called for backup from the Standerton Dog Unit and Standerton Units.
They went to the house and the suspect tried to flee, but he was caught.
The police searched the house and found five computers and laminating machines.
Another computer was recovered in a house in Ext 5.
However, the suspect did not want to tell the police where the other computers were.
Const Nomfenge thanked the K9 unit, the Community Policing Forum (CPF), the Crime Service Centre (CSC), and the Sakhile Police for their assistance.

Five suspects were arrested.
