Owner follows robbers
The owner who hid in the back of his shop, contacted the police to dispatch officers to the shop.
MILAN PARK – The eMziononi Police arrested a man who attempted to rob a discount shop at Milan Park.
The man, along with an accomplice, entered the shop armed with knives.
They ordered one of the employees to hand over an undisclosed amount of money as well as cell phone airtime.
The owner who hid in the back, contacted the police to dispatch officers to the shop.
The men fled on foot, but the owner followed them and informed the police about their whereabouts.
Officers located the men in Ext 23 and arrested one of the suspects.
The other suspect escaped.
The man was taken into custody and appeared in the Bethal Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
