Freshlyground free concerts on Love No Hate Tour hit Secunda

The award winning South African Afro-Fusion band Freshlyground perfomed at the Johannes Stegmann Theatre on 12 December.

SECUNDA – It was a true reflection of a rainbow nation as Freshlyground, the award winning South African Afro-Fusion band, performed at the Johannes Stegmann Theatre on Thursday, 12 December.

Secunda was privileged to be one of the towns that the Freshlyground free concerts on Love No Hate Tour has visited.

Freshlyground comprises seven talented and diverse musicians, namely Zolani Maholo (lead singer), Simon Attwell (saxophone), Josh Hawks (bass), Peter Cohen (drummer), Kyla-Rose Smith (violin), Shaggy Scheepers (percussion) and Julio Sigauque (lead guitar).

Their popular songs like “Doo be Doo”, “Pot Belly”, “Would you mind” and “Nomvula” kept the crowd dancing throughout the show.

Freshlyground recently released the album Take me to the Dance.
