Police arrest many over festive season
Goods that were confiscated over the festive season included two vehicles, drugs such as cocaine, dagga, Cat, rocks and dagga plants.
SECUNDA – The local police arrested several suspects over the festive season.
Of these, eight were arrested for theft, seven for shoplifting, three for malicious damage to property, four for fraud, three for assault, seven for drugs, one for rape and others for drinking in public, drunken driving and selling liquor without a license.
A total of 116 people were arrested.
According to Lt Bettina Zondo, spokesman from Secunda Police Station, the goods that were confiscated over the festive season included two vehicles, drugs such as cocaine, dagga, Cat, rocks and dagga plants, firearms and ammunition, electrical appliances, copper wire, cell phones, DVDs, liquor and clothing.
