Man’s body found

The body was discovered by two passersby

EVANDER – The body of an unidentified man was found near the Evander Hospital on Monday, 10 February at around 9.30am.

According to thepolice, two passersby found the body in a field behind the hospital and notified the police.

The cause of death was not known at the time of going to press.

No identification was found on the body, but documentation bearing a name and surname was found at the scene.

Police have withheld this information until family members have been located and notified.

The man is believed to have been about 56 years old.

He was found wearing black trousers and a grey shirt.

Police are looking for any family members who may be able to help identify the man or anyone who may have witnessed something, to contact the investigating officer WO Vusi Makhetha at 017 632 3233.
