Secunda models aims for Mr SA title

SECUNDA – Local models Drian Maree (21), JD Knell (21) and Rudolph van der Walt (20) will be taking part in the Mr South Africa contest this year.

They will begin competing for the Mr SA title from 15 March which will run until the end of the year.

The models will be given tasks through which they will be competing for their spot into each stage that will then lead to the finals of the Mr SA competition.

They are appealing to the community, family and friends to cast their votes via SMS which will contribute towards them staying in this competition.

The votes that the models receive, will be very important as this will count towards their points in each stage and will help them to progress to the next level.

The men will be featured on e.tv from May and viewers will be able to follow their progress.

They are honoured to be representing not only Mpumalanga, but Secunda as well.

“Though this is an individual competition, we compete well together,” said Maree.

Having competed in other modelling competitions together, these guys know that teamwork is important.

Van der Walt said: “This is a gentleman’s game and may the best man win.”

Keeping up their appearances requires a workout of two hours a day, while they still eat food that they enjoy but in moderation.

“I get to have fun while working and at the same time enjoy what I do, which is modelling,” Knell said.

The men will be representing the model agency Ultimate Glamour Models and Promotions.
