SECUNDA – Mr Ivan du Plessis (19) was stabbed at around 1am on Saturday, 8 March.
According to police, he was coming out of a night club when he was approached by a group of men.
A fight apparently broke out between them and he was stabbed with a knife from the naval across the left of his stomach, as well as his left shoulder.
Mr Du Plessis was taken to the MediClinic Highveld and was later transferred to the N17 Hospital in Springs.
He was in ICU on Monday, but was in a stable condition.
Friends and family described him as a young man who is not a troublemaker.
A case of attempted murder was opened and the police are investigating.
