SECUNDA – Local gospel artists had a chance to perform on stage with the popular gospel artist Sifiso Ncwane at the Govan Mbeki Arts and Culture Gospel Festival on Saturday, 12 April at Graceland Casino.

The event is the brainchild of the Govan Mbeki Arts and Culture Forum and was aimed at raising funds and to improve the profiles of creative practitioners within the Govan Mbeki municipal area.

Apart from Sfiso Ncwane, the lineup was made up entirely of local singers in order to give them an opportunity to showcase their talents and grow as artists.

Kinross Spiritual Group opened the stage and Barunyoa St Moses took the show onto another level through their performance as they were tapping and clapping.

The Power of Praise Group and Lion of Judah almost stole the show with their modernised gospel version which included rhyming, poetry and dance.
