Report accidents immediately

Police call on public to help them.

SECUNDA – The police urged people to report accidents immediately after they happened.

“In order for the police to respond in time and safe-guard the accident scene for the purposes of investigation, especially if people were injured, the public must please report accidents as soon as possible,” said W/O Thulani Gamede, spokesman of Secunda Police Station.

It is also the duty of those involved in an accident to report it to the police for insurance and third party claim purposes.

“Other role players such as towing services and ambulance services are also entreated to follow suit and confirm the accident with the police before attending to the scene.”
