Standerton Landbou Skou promises three days of fun and entertainment

The annual Standerton Landbou Skou is set to bring three days of entertainment, competitions and activities for young and old from September 10 to 13.

The annual Standerton Landbou Skou is around the corner, and organisers are excited about this year’s event, with highlights taking place throughout the three-day event from September 10 to 13.

From well-known South African artists taking to the stage to the equestrian show, potjiekos and talent competitions, a variety of stalls, the Big Bounce jumping castle and more, this year’s show promises to be a fun and entertainment packed skou for both young and old.

The Landbou Skou opens to the public on September 10, with the opening of the equestrian show taking place from 14:30 to 15:40, followed by a homing pigeon auction at 20:00.

The annual seniors’ function will take place at 10:00 on September 11. Gates open to the public at 12:00. The equestrian show will feature throughout the day.

Do not miss this year’s artists, with Onike opening the night’s entertainment at 19:00. Kurt Darren will perform at 20:00, while Loufi, at 21:10, is one not to be missed. On September 12, gates open at 08:00, with the equestrian show featuring throughout the day.

The cook off begins at 09:00. Check out the Standerton’s Got Talent contestants from 13:00. The master of ceremonies for both events is Bean Extreme.

Onike will open the night’s entertainment at 19:00, followed by Neil Somers at 20:00. Appel will finish off the day’s fun-filled events and entertainment at 21:00.

On September 13, a joint church service will take place at 9:00 with pastor, singer, songwriter and motivational speaker Willie Joubert.

Tickets cost:

Friday, September 11: Adults R80, pensioners R50, high school children R50, junior/crèche R50.
Saturday, September 12: Adults R100, pensioners R80, high school children R80, junior/crèche R50.

Standerton’s Got Talent age categories are 7–13 years, 14–18 years, 19–25 years and 26–35 years.
The first-place winner will receive R1 250, the runner-up R1 000 and the third-place winner R750.
