
SECUNDA – The police arrested four men for illegal possession of firearms on Thursday, 19 June.
The men, aged between 32 and 38, are from Gauteng.
They were arrested after Maj Gen Wilson Kekana saw their vehicle in a parking area in the CBD and suspected something was wrong and called for back-up.
The police searched their vehicle and found firearms.
It is suspected that the men planned to commit crime in Secunda.
They appeared in the Secunda Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 23 June.
The spokesman of Secunda Police, Lt Bettina Zondo, said: “We thank Maj Gen Kekana for his commitment to fight crime in Secunda the cluster.”
