The local police are encouraging residents to use the 10111 telephone number responsibly.
SECUNDA – The local police are encouraging residents to use the 10111 telephone number responsibly.
They are emphasising the fact that some people are abusing this number. “We request that the community be responsible when reporting crimes or when laying charges,” said Radio Control.
They ask the following:
• Educate your child not to phone this number and lay false complaints and or sing on the line.
• When this number is busy, use 017 624 2241, 017 624 2242, 017 024 2243 or 112 on the cell phone.
• When a person phones about a complaint, they must provide their telephone numbers, address and names in order for Radio Control to phone them back if the line gets cut off for some reason.
• If there are any complaints regarding Radio Control members, contact Capt Gama at any of the above mentioned telephone numbers.
