Police invite domestic workers
Domestic workers informed about crime at meeting.
SECUNDA – The local police invite all domestic workers to a meeting on Wednesday, 30 July in the gymnasium hall at Secunda Police Station.
It begins at 10am and transportation will be provided.
The police will pick domestic workers up at 9am at the following areas:
Sector 1 – Shoprite parking area.
Sector 2 – Duck Pond.
Sector 3 – Spar on the corner of Vaalrivier and Nelson Mandela Street.
Sector 4 – Open space opposite Kuiersaam Guesthouse in Joe Slovo Street, Extension 22.
The police will talk about crime since domestic workers are usually the ones who are at home when crimes take place during the day.
They also want to hear what challenges domestic workers face regarding crime.
