Woman gives police the finger

A good Samaritan got more than he bargained for on 17 July when the woman he was helping, showed police officers the middle finger.

A man was approached by a woman in the Spar parking lot in the early afternoon.

She asked him if he could take her home in her car, because she apparently had too much to drink.

He said he would, but had things to do in town first.

She did not mind and apparently bought herself a six pack of beers at the bottle store opposite the supermarket.

He drove with her to a retail store in the Monument Centre and left her in the car and proceeded to do his shopping.

When he returned, she had disappeared and he also noticed the beers had already been drunk.

He then drove round town in her car looking for her, eventually finding her at the Standard Bank parking lot.

When he approached her she was accompanied by two police women and she was arguing with them that she had not been drinking.

He then explained the situation and the police let them go.

While driving down Caledon Street he noticed the same police women driving behind them signalling him to pull over.

Because Caledon Street is busy he decided to turn into Burger Street and pulled over, because it is also close to his home.

As he turned he was shocked to see the woman gave the police the obscene sign.

When he stopped, he was not only approached by the police, but by the angry mother of the woman.

Apparently it was not even her car, but belonged to a car dealer, because her mother’s car was in for a service.

By then the man had come to the end of his tether and took his shopping and walked home.

According to him the police gave the woman a verbal warning and her mother drove her home.

So the next time you do a good deed for the day remember it may not turn out the way you expect it to.
