A fishing expo you do not want to miss

Khans Angling and Cycling will host a Fishing Expo on 25 October from 9.30am to 2.30pm.

Two of the leading bait (Super Cast) and tackle (Sensation) companies in the country will attend.

“The main aim of the expo is to spread knowledge of the sport,” Mr Zahid Khan, owner of Khans Angling and Cycling, said.

Schalk van Breda and Loukie van der Merwe from Super Cast, two of the top anglers in the country according to Mr Khan, will exhibit their products.

They will also give tips on how to fish and what products to use in different weather and water conditions.

Members of Sensation will also be there to demonstrate their different hooks, reels and rods.

Lucky draws will be done all day and free give aways handed out.

“Specials will be running all day and it is a great opportunity for the whole family to begin a new sport together,” Mr Khan said.

There will also be a braai, so bring the family and enjoy the day and maybe you will also get hooked on the popular sport of fishing.

“With the drug problem young people face, I think it is a good idea for parents and children to get involved in the sport,” he also said.
