Kesegie Moodley publishes another book

Romance is author’s first love.

KINROSS – Ms Kesegie Moodley (29) recently released her third book Worthy of Love.

She finished writing this book in 2013, but only released it this year.

She is already writing her fourth book, Tri Love, that will be released later this year.

“I am sure my third book will be a hit among readers and I enjoyed writing it very much,” said Ms Moodley.

She was born in Durban and grew up in Thistle Grove.

She did admin courses after she matriculated and got a learnership at Sasol where she is still working as a secretary.

She enjoyed writing essays in school and finished her first book, Web of Love and Hate, in 2010.

Her second book, Symbol of Affection, followed in 2012.

She actually began writing her first book online, but someone contacted her and asked for a hard copy.

“That is how it came about that I published my first book,” said Ms Moodley.

In her free time she enjoys reading.

She also has an artistic side and enjoys painting, drawing and sketching as well.

All three her released books are about different characters and different story lines and the main focus is romance.

In Worthy of Love, the romance begins in Secunda when a Dutch duke from Holland immigrates to Secunda and meets the woman of his dreams, a South African woman.

The duke’s passion is to be a lawyer not a duke, and that is why he escaped Holland and traded it for South Africa where he can live out his dream.

She has also written a few children’s stories that were published online and are registered with the Public Library of South Africa.

They were also published in a church magazine.

Ms Moodley’s mother, Ms Vani Naidoo, is her biggest fan and inspiration.

“My mother has read all my books,” said Ms Moodley.

Fan fiction is another hobby of Ms Moodley.

“I found out what fan fiction is last year and now I enjoy it a lot,” she said.

Fan fiction is where fans can rewrite a famous writer’s story online.

“You write the famous authors’ stories in your own words.

“Newer, unknown writers use it to build up a fan base.”
