Tac acts against shortage of medicine
Tac takes a stand against the shortage of medicine.
Members of the Treatment Action Campaign (Tac) visited the Sakhile Clinic to address the shortage of medicine on 24 April.
According to them the clinic is one of the health facilities in the province with a shortage.
Mpumalanga has been having difficulties with supplying sufficient medicine to patients.
As a result some patients are turned away without receiving any medication.
According to Mr Sibusiso Masiteng, Tac provincial chairman, most health facilities do not have essential medicine, including antiretroviral drugs (ARVs).
This was not the only problem, but patients have also raised concerns about the time spent in waiting areas.
According to them they have to wait for hours for a consultation and to get the prescribed medicine.
