Great prizes up for grabs in Graceland Idols competition
Prizes include R5 000, a demo recording contract, a Samson mic and a Graceland contract
SECUNDA – The Graceland Idols competition was officially launched on Sunday, 3 May at the Buffalo Bills Showbar at Graceland Casino, Hotel and Resort.
Gordon Rodway has returned as the host of the event which last took place in 2011.
The competition will run until 26 July and many prizes will be won.
Some of the prizes up for grabs include R5 000, a demo recording contract, a Samson mic and a Graceland contract for the winner, as well as R3 000 for the runner-up and R1 500 for the second runner-up.
There will also be weekly prizes and each weekly winner will qualify for the grand finale.
Contestants must be at least 18 years old or older and the competition is a solo singing competition to back tracks which will be supplied by Rodway Entertainment.
Entry is free and contestants will be judged on their appearance and overall impression, vocal ability, stage presence and personality and audience response.
Judges will be provided by the competition sponsors, which include Graceland Casino, Hotel and Country Club, The Bulletin, Rodway Entertainment and Music Network.
