Artisans apply for Sasol shutdown jobs in September

If you have the required skills, you can apply.

SECUNDA Sasol launched the 11th annual September pre-shutdown recruitment drive at the Sasol Recreation Club on Wednesday, 20 May to source employees with specialised skills from the community.

About 2 500 employees attended the recruitment drive.

The company is working with recruitment agencies M&S Projects, IPSCO and Jomele.

Interested employees with short-skills have the opportunity to register their CVs with the agencies and be interviewed on the day by Sasol representatives for possible placement.

The intention of this exercise is to give local community members first preference in recruiting employees to work on the annual September shutdown in Secunda.

This is in line with Sasol’s commitment to local economic development in the communities in which it operates.

Required skills include mechanical fitters and supervisors, riggers, mobile crane drivers, turbine fitters, instrument mechanics and turners.

The recruitment agencies will visit various locations countrywide before concluding the drive in Secunda on Wednesday, 17 June.
