Reporter attacked after receiving hoax call

Update: The reporter who was stabbed on Friday, has been discharged from hospital.

Update: The Ridge Times reporter who was attacked last night, remains in hospital.

The reporter was attacked by two men and stabbed after receiving a hoax call.

Although still in hospital, there is an improvement but the doctor is still not satisfied.

A reporter of the Ridge Times and Echo was attacked with a knife by an unknown man earlier tonight.

The reporter received a hoax call and was attacked after responding to the call.

The reporter was transported by Langemed Ambulance Services to Mediclinic Highveld in Trichardt.
