PEP Cell robbed
Thieves fled with 50 cell phones, valued at about R50 000, during the robbery.
A local business, PEP Cell, was robbed on 15 June.
Two men entered the store early Monday morning and one pretended to buy a phone.
He grabbed the employee who was assisting him.
Two women were on duty during the incident and the thieves locked both of them in the storeroom.
They stole 50 cell phones, worth about R50 000.
According to Lt Fanie Nhlabathi, communications officer of the Standerton Police, the robbers fled the scene in a blue BMW.
“No one was harmed during the robbery,” Lt Nhlabathi said.
A case of business robbery was opened and no arrests have been made thus far.
A PEP store in Amersfoort was also robbed on 15 June.
According to their police no one has been arrested.
