Kinross Police arrest four during special operation

Operation focused on people selling dagga and drugs.

KINROSS- Four people were arrested in Ext 25 on Monday, 15 June.

This came after W/O Gerald Elmes and Const Sibusiso Mahlangu were busy with a special operation in the area that focused on people selling dagga and drugs.

They approached two suspicious looking men and asked to search them.

The police found 15 packets of Nyaope on one of the men and arrested him.

While driving past Kinross Primary School, they saw two other suspicious looking people in a garden and after searching them, they arrested one person for being in possession of dagga.

They also went to the Nkandla Section where they spotted a pot plant next to the door of a house.

When they investigated, they realised the plant was dagga and they arrested another person.

The fourth person was arrested in Thistle Grove for being in possession of dagga.

He was visiting with friends and when he noticed the police, he tried to throw the dagga into a drain.
