Suspects at large

Evander police are looking for two suspects who fled after they had loaded stolen equipment in a truck at Winkelhaak Mine on Wednesday, 1 July.

According to the police the suspects were noticed by Bidvest security guards who were doing regular patrols in the area and called the police.

It is alleged that when the police confronted the men, they ran to a nearby hill and watched them.

Sgt Sibusiso Mbuli, police spokesman, said the police on the scene encouraged the men to surrender, but the suspects fled.

The police established that the truck used to commit the crime, was hijacked in Barberton.
