BETHAL – The local police recently arrested a man for robbery with the help of the community.
According to police officers, an old woman withdrew money and went to various shops to pay her accounts.
“A young man grabbed my handbag from behind and ran away,” said the woman.
She screamed for help and officers and community members chased after the criminal.
He was arrested and taken into custody.
Const Mahlatse Mogadime, communication officer, thanked the community for their help.
He warned the community to be safe and to watch out for criminals.
The woman also thanked the police for managing to recover her money.
