Men wanted for fraud
Suspects blocked the cell phone number of businessman to prevent him from receiving notifications.

SECUNDA – Police seek the public’s help in identifying fraud suspects.
They allegedly defrauded a businessman from eMbalenhle of an undisclosed amount of money.
The police said the men used fraudulent names to withdraw money from a bank after they had allegedly blocked the businessman’s cell phone number through a Sim swap to stop alert messages.
The man was on a business trip when the suspects withdrew the money and the withdrawals happened at banks in Secunda and eMbalenhle.
W/O Thulani Gamede warned people to always make sure that their cell phones are working at all times and that they get alert messages should any transaction be made.
He further said people should try to have notifications of activity be sent through both an SMS and an e-mail.
People with information should contact Det Sgt Morifi at 0176242212 during office hours or 017 624 2020 after hours.
