EVANDER – Vuyisile Petrus Maseko (33), a Lebohang resident, was sentenced to 21 years’ imprisonment for rape, contravening a protection order and kidnapping at the Evander Regional Court.
The victim, Maseko’s former girlfriend, said he arrived at her house armed with a hammer and threatened to kill her, because of the protection order she had against him.
He forced her to go to his place in Lebohang where he assaulted and raped her.
He also ordered her to sleep at his place where he raped her again.
Maseko was found guilty of rape and was sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment, three years for contravening a protection order and three years for kidnapping.
All sentences will run concurrently.
