SECUNDA – More than 700 woman attended Gretha Wiid ladies morning hosted by Goedehoop Primary School and Lynco at Graceland Casino on Saturday, 5 September.
“Whether you are 4, 40 or 104 years old, the fact that you are still on this earth means that God is not done with you yet.
“Each generation has something different to give,” said Wiid.
“That friend with the perfect body, wishes she has your happiness,” said Gretha.
She said a little girl came to her at a function and told her that her poster was prettier than she was. Instead of being offended, though she was a little bit offended, Gretha took a “selfie” with that little girl and told her that at times images do not reflect the real person.
She further said women should love themselves.
“When you look at your hands, don’t look at the nails, spots and wrinkles.
“Think back at all they have done and all the things they have touched,” said Gretha.
I was astonished by her sense of humour and walking around the tables, talking to us and handing out pamphlets, it’s not something we expected of her and that makes her different,” said one attendee, Ms Carmen Fletcher.
“What an inspiration, Greta Wiid is to be reckoned with, she speaks out of personal experience of infidelity, sequestration, pornography and how a marriage can not only survive and thrive if you make sure that, as Joshua said in the Bible “me and my house will serve the Lord”.
Women were also entertained by the Von West music.
