Families South Africa (Famsa) recently held its annual general meeting (AGM) and the board discussed several matters.
Veneshrie Chetty, vice-chairman of the board, welcomed everyone, and chairman André Blom thanked all the role players involved with Famsa.
The treasurer of the board, Peet Bloem, gave a financial report and said it is available for anyone who wants to view it.

He thanked Famsa Director Marcelle Victor and her team for good financial management.
Chetty said Famsa will do more fundraising projects next year. Famsa hosted its first golf day this year, and the board plans to make it a yearly event. Victor said Famsa expanded its services and reached many families.
“Our two main events each year are family day and marriage week,” said Victor.

On the advice of Famsa’s auditor, Victor said Famsa must expand its services.
Famsa can offer counselling and other professional services to companies and employees. The board said goodbye to Bloem, who resigned to focus on his ministry.
Chetty said Famsa would welcome advice from the community, and anyone interested in getting involved or serving on the board can contact Famsa at 017 631 1593.
