Willem Swanepoel, biker dies in accident
A Voyagers Bike Club member died in an accident on 16 September.
SECUNDA – Mr Willem Swanepoel (47), a member of the Voyagers Bike Club, died in an accident on Wednesday.
The accident occured at about 4pm on the road between Secunda and Trichardt, near the Sasol Garage.
Mr Swanepoel was on his way to Trichardt when the accident happened.
The car that was involved in the accident, flipped and rolled and came to a standstill on the opposite side of the road.
Ms Daleen Louw who drove the car, was taken to hospital and released the same day.
She thanked the team of Langamed South ambulance services as well as the local fire brigade.
Members of the Voyagers Bike Club paid tribute to Mr Swanepoel by erecting a cross next to the road where their friend died.
